Terms of Service

Last updated June 17, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Live Tourneys. They govern your use of our website and platform for running youth and amateur sports tournaments. Please read them carefully — by using Live Tourneys, you agree to them.

1. Agreement to these terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Live Tourneys (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you’re using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you’re authorized to bind that organization to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

2. Who can use Live Tourneys

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create and hold an account.
  • Minors may participate in events (as athletes) only through a parent, guardian, coach, or organizer who manages their information and provides any required consent.
  • Access to host events may be invite-based or subject to approval. We may decline or revoke access at our discretion.

3. Accounts

You sign in through Google or an email magic link. You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. Tell us promptly at legal@livetourneys.com if you suspect unauthorized use. Keep your information accurate and up to date.

4. The service

Live Tourneysprovides tools to run sports tournaments: team registration, payment collection, schedule generation, roster management, and participant communication. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time. We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

5. Organizer responsibilities

If you run events on Live Tourneys, you agree that:

  • You have the authority and any required consents to collect and upload participant information, including data about minors and their guardians.
  • You’ll use participant data only to operate your events and in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
  • You’re responsible for the accuracy of your event details, pricing, eligibility rules, and the conduct of your events.
  • You’ll set and honor your own registration, refund, and cancellation policies and communicate them to participants.
  • You’re responsible for any taxes, permits, insurance, venue agreements, and safety obligations associated with your events.

6. Coaches, athletes & guardians

If you register a team or manage an athlete, you confirm the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to provide it — including, for a minor, that you are the guardian or have the guardian’s consent. Event-specific rules, fees, and refund policies are set by the organizer running that event, not by Live Tourneys.

7. Payments, fees & refunds

  • Processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. By making or collecting payments, you agree to Stripe’s terms. We don’t store full card details.
  • Registration fees are set by the organizer. Paying a registration fee is a transaction between the participant and the organizer; the organizer is responsible for delivering the event.
  • Platform fees. Live Tourneys may charge organizers a fee to use the Service. Applicable fees will be disclosed before you incur them.
  • Refunds & disputes. Refunds follow the organizer’s stated policy. Chargebacks and payment disputes are handled through Stripe and the organizer. Live Tourneys is not a party to the underlying event transaction.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law, infringe others’ rights, or use the Service to harass, harm, or endanger anyone — especially minors.
  • Upload data you don’t have the right to share, or misuse another person’s information.
  • Probe, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to breach the security or access controls of the Service.
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages, or to build a competing product from our data.

9. Your content & data

You keep ownership of the content and data you submit. You grant Live Tourneysa worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate and improve the Service and to provide it to you and your event’s participants. We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Our intellectual property

The Service — including the software, design, Live Tourneysname, and logos — is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don’t grant you any right to our branding except to identify that your event runs on Live Tourneys.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (such as Stripe for payments, Google for sign-in, and our hosting and email providers). Your use of those features may be subject to their terms, and we’re not responsible for third-party services we don’t control.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that schedules or results it generates will meet every requirement of your event.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Live Tourneysand its team won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Live Tourneys from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your events, your content, or your violation of these terms or the law — including claims related to participant or athlete data you provided.

15. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for other users, or as needed to operate the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as data ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

16. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing here limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live.

17. Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves or the law changes. When we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Live Tourneys after an update means you accept the revised terms.
